The world reverts back to its primordial state of forgettable PMVs, each one the same as the last, and each skinny 18-year-old blonde girl dancing on tiktok indistinguishable from the next. "Treat Me Like a Slut" by Kim Petras is the only accepted soundtrack, and the days of hip-hop, rock, dark wave, and even house music, for PMV soundtracks are long since forgotten. Some try to resist, struggle, prolong the flame, swim up stream, go against the grain, dissent, vote 3rd party... But all things must eventually fade. Entropy is a matter of course, not of debate. The inevitable end state for PMVs, and for all existence, as we know it. But off in the distance can be heard, the manic ramblings of a lone man, his words barely discernible against the background noise of airplane propellers sputtering and spinning: "Yup, make no mistake. We're going out... But we're going out with a fucking bang, motherfuckers! So strap on your boots and cowboy hats, boys.
