Great vid as always but tbh I still don't really get the whole intermission thing. For me the entire appeal of your videos is how unrelentingly intense they are, so to me it feels like the intermissions kinda defeat the point.
To some extent, the more someone watches something, the less the visuals might feel arousing resulting in less stimulation or getting super spaced out and not really paying attention to whats happening on the screen. The intermission does a few things. It provides an opportunity to drink water, mentally cool down a little, build anticipation for the next section and also if someone has been edging they can have some more restraint in the form of a break. Most videos don't really need explicit intermissions because they are shorter. Breaks do help extend a session before things get out of hand. From a hypnotic perspective bringing someone out of an experience briefly can make the rest of the session more effective if done correctly.
