I consider this upscale kind of a failure, which might seem odd, but I think it's a useful one to demonstrate how important matching quality/restoring/upscaling source material *before* editing is. Because the majority of clips in this video were already in such high quality, the presence of the low quality ones meant any compromise would be extreme. So I focused on a few high quality clips I wanted to make look as good as possible, but again this was at the expense of other clips- a lot of this video is at a level of "AI upscale look" that I'd consider "overcooked", though not unpleasant to watch imo. The fewer and the smaller the compromises that need to be made when upscaling, even if that means the video is mostly garbage quality to begin with. All that garbage can be cleaned up to look consistent and tidy, maybe even clean!
