The best PMV I have ever seen... no doubt. Question, considering you made the song, did you plan the lyrics based off existing tiktoks to match the lipsync? Specially for example on the left that goes uninterrupted for a while. How many hours of work did this art-piece take? I just made my first pmv and it's really bad compared to yours, and took so long too. You're a master!

My only real complaint is with the download size. I'm not sure if this is even something you can change or not, but either way, 1.8 gigs for a video less than six minutes long is just insane. We really should be able to download the lower quality ones as well
I got pissed that the new size upload limit was too small to put up the 4K version in anything approaching respectable quality on here so I just bumped the bitrate way up on the 1080p. But that was dumb because the compression is still significant. Busy right now but I may do a lower bitrate 1080p version and put it up in the download folder as some point.

I think there's that significant dip when it comes to the initial punch of "Oh shit this song is familiar" kind of blow like the others. In isolation though I think its good enough, not enough to best the slut mixes which is just like better, but enough to like patch the gap if anything. Based on your Behind the Scene comments, my suggestion would probably clone a voice close enough to a known singer, while imitating the general vibe of the songs they make in order to still have that punch without being copyrighted. Like if not a parody, maybe an evocation of what could be where someone will go "Huh, [Insert artist name here] would prolly make a song like this", as if its like an unreleased song/lost media type of stuff.

Is Audrey Mason a real singer that the vocals are based on? Or just a made up name?
I went through a lot of iteration to create a voice that's LEGALLY DISTINCT but loosely inspired by a real singer, whose first name is a role famously played by Audrey Hepburn and whose last name is a different building trade (like Mason). I've worked on some other songs with the same voice, I guess the ideas was to do a consistent identity for these songs in case I wanted to put them out anywhere.

The copyright crackdown is definitely real. That's part of the reason I shifted to doing an original song this time—which I knew was risky because it doesn't have built in familiarity, and it takes a lot of effort to make something that's (hopefully) catchy enough to give that legit pop music hit. Like what the fuck I gotta come up with my own hooks now?
So I thought maybe I'd try to invert what I did on the Slut Mixes and see if I could alter the lip syncs to help sell that this entirely fake pop song is a real one. I actually got more consistent results on Suno than Udio for this, but still took hundreds of gos, lots of rewriting the lyrics to get it to match the intended rhythm since they're all garbage at that still, and generally just digging and digging to make it better.
Long term I think the only way the Slut Mix idea would be sustainable is with offline generation, but there would obviously be a massive hardware requirement there and with prices where they are, out of the question. I definitely wind up throwing a couple hundred dollars at my videos for zero profit, but no way can I drop like $25k on a monster rig to do it all locally.

Really appreciate the in-depth response again! I've been playing around with local music gen on a 5090 and have had no luck getting anything decent. The song was great, I honestly wasn't sure if it was an altered one or entirely generated, especially with the lip syncing. Looking forward to your future projects, incredible work!
