test encode of my upscale to fit in the haven size requirements, using nvenc AV1. unfortunately all hardware video encoders are terribly inefficient and bad at retaining detail. this, even in 10-bit mode, slowest preset, and hq tune, nvenc av1 removes a ton of detail and softens the image no matter what settings you use. threw on a sharpening filter during the encode to try and counter the softening at least. download to play on desktop and let me know if the quality is ok or noticeably lacking. might upload a cpu-encoded x265 10-bit 1440p file in a few days, which would look substantially better but take quite a while to encode
