@Seepussies If you are being genuine (demonic obsession is a real thing, which can be mistaken for addiction), and you are Roman Catholic, your very first step is to receive the sacrament of Penance & Reconciliation; prayer is not enough. Receiving absolution from the Church will break those legal justifications that the demonic have over you. In turn, it will allow you to enter back into the grace of God and the holy communion of the saints, from which you have been removed from so long as you're in a state of mortal sin, and the demons will flee, and the effectiveness of prayer restored. To remain liberated, we need to grow in the virtue of chastity. Saint Raphael the Archangel is our greatest advocate in this, as it is written in Scripture, since it was he who threw Asmeduous, the demonic prince of lust, to whom all lesser sexual demons answer, to Hell. There is also Saint Michael the Archangel and our guardian angels, who will also help, if asked. And there are resources available on how to grow in the virtue. Those can be simply Googled, or you can ask your local priest. Attend Mass, receive the sacraments regularly, and pray often (i.e., Psalm 51). Know, also, that this may be your Cross. As such, the struggle is real; but it is the struggle, not the avoidance, that makes one a saint in the life to come. As such, faltering is likely inevitable, as much as you endeavor against it, like a thorn in your side, as it is described in Scripture. It is a Mystery. The point is, don't give up in your struggle as that is Satan, the prince of Hell (where Michael the Archangel can help), receive Absolution regularly, and do the best you can to resolve to avoid all occasions of sin against chastity. Remain in a relationship with God, ask God to fill that infinite hole, filling it with the Holy Spirit, which will happen so long as you are in that state of grace, as well as aid from calling upon the name of the Lord, Jesus, against the demonic. This addresses the spiritual aspect of it. Simultaneously, then, you can work on the bodily psychological aspect of addiction, should you have one, since we are both body and spirit, in whatever underlying conditions that are resulting in your turning to porn and musturbation. Addiction is very real. I've been struggling with it my whole adult life. The spiritual aspect is also very real, and I am just as much in need of God, the Church, and Salvation. Hope this helps; it is what I have learned up to this point in my life.

Whether it’s a literal demon or just a destructive pattern doesn’t change the fact that something powerful is pulling people into addiction, loss of self, and spiritual numbness. That’s basically what the content is designed to do. So pretending otherwise is irrational.

@Seepussies If you don’t want to watch the videos anymore but can’t stop, the likely culprit is porn addiction, even from a Christian perspective: Jesus has absolute authority over demons, so if you keep praying for the demons to go away, and they don’t, that’s because it isn’t demons keeping you around, its addiction. And addiction is difficult to pray away, because it comes from underlying needs that aren’t being met, and you need to find healthier and better ways to meet those needs before it stops. Faith can help with that, but you need to know what the need is that underlies porn use. It could be a coping strategy that’s gone too far, intimacy deficiencies, self medicating ADHD, a need for validation, etc…. Porn is a great catch all and figuring out what need its filling can take a lot of time and reflection. It’s also important to tell somebody - have external accountability, somebody you know can call you out and challenge you. You also need to be willing to go through a short period of significantly increased stress and anxiety as you adjust to a different lifestyle that is healthier in the long term. Looking up how porn affects the chemicals in your brain can help you manage self talk when trying to quit; “This anxiety is because of the withdrawal. I can allow myself to experience it, because I know it will pass.” In extreme cases you may want to see a doctor if you have an overcharged libido and struggle to get through anything without your mind overly sexualizing everything. You can’t just kneel in prayer and expect your life to change, you have to actually make changes, and give your faith space to thrive alongside the prayer.

He’s not just a bystander to addiction—he’s creating content that amplifies it. He designs the chains l, then offers advice on how to live in that prison. That’s a conflict worth wrestling with. If he truly cares about people healing, the question isn’t just what they’re running from… it’s what he’s feeding. Hint: it’s not healthy.
@OhFrank Often when we try to get rid of one vice, we end up replacing it with another without realizing it. You may benefit from asking yourself if you’re just replacing lust with pride. Both give short term reward that leads to an emptiness later that keeps pulling you back. When we see most of your messages are insults to other commentators, or lies to try and make a point (ie. “Emily”), you detract from your message of warning to others. There may be an underlying need for validation or a lack of ability to express yourself in the real world - finding ways to meet those needs can help give you more clarity and depth when pushing back against our content.
